Own Website Name...
You can have
your own WEBSITE NAME ...
(for
example, www.johndowautosales.com)
... if that specific name/spelling is available for you to
purchase. If that specific name has already been taken,
you can change the name a little and ask for www
johndoeauto.com or www johndoeautosonline.com.
You want to keep the name as short as possible and have a
name that is easy to remember. Keep in mind that you
don't have to have your exact company name. You can have
www bymycar.com and when the person goes to that site
your real company name will appear, Welcome To John Doe
Auto Sales!.
Buying a name is
easy. All you do is go to the right place on the
internet, type in the name that you want, and it will tell you
if it is available. In addition to informing you if the
name is available, most places will give you other names that
are close to the one you are interested in. There are hundreds
of websites that will sell you a domain name.
After buying your name,
the person that you bought from should send you an e-mail
confirming that you have purchased the name; and then a second
e-mail giving you a username, password, and the place that you
can go to on the internet to have control of that name. (You
can direct it to go anywhere on the internet that you desire.)
In reality, the government controls the internet and they
allow certain people to sell the domain names at what ever
price they want to but they have to allow you control of that
name. You do NOT have to host your name
with that person (even though they will want
you to). Some people or companies buy domain
names in hopes that someone else will want that name and will
pay extra $ to get. The last time I checked, there were
over 50,000 names being bought each month. That is a
LOT!!!! That means you should try to buy your company
name (dealer) ASAP.
I am going to share with
you where, I think, is the best place on the internet to
purchase your name. I like this place because there are
no hassles; in addition, you can buy the name and their
control panel is set up easily for somebody like me to go into
and change the DNS (which is the way you
point the name to another server [like mine]).
I like the website, www.web.com.
The cost is only $6.95 per domain name,
per year. When you
check out this site, you will learn that they have additional
reasonably-priced plans but all you want to do at this time is
buy the name; you can always go back at a later time to
purchase a hosting plan, forwarding plan, etc. But at
this point, just buy the name
-- your total cost is only $6.95 per year.

After you buy your name
and you want InternetAutoDealers
to direct that name to your website of cars, we will need the
following info that is found in the e-mail that you received
after buying your name: (1)
user name, and (2)
password. Then we will take care of everything
else! We will direct your name to our server and
point it to your listing of vehicles. This sometimes
takes 3-7 days to process. We do
not charge anything to do this! But,
you do have to understand that this process can take up to 7
days.
Now, you are able to
advertise your domain name (www.yourdomain.com)
and when a person goes there, he/she will go straight to your
listings (10 vehicles pictured per page)

operation, etc.; then they could click on "View
Our Inventory" and that will take him/her to your
listings! (The cost for your home page
including setup) ($25.00) Including your domain Name. If
you buy your own name then the Home Page cost is $20.00 Per
Year. (That cost is added to your package cost of the
amount of cars that you have. Example (maintain 25 cars
$200.00 per Year plus $25.00 for name and home page) total
$225.00 per year.

You do not have to get
your own name. You can use our name (www internetautodealers
.com), or you can use to advertise (www internetautodealer
.com) and both of the names go to the same place. In
addition, you can use our inexpensive "sign"
in front of your business. In addition, you will be able
to use both our "sign" and your personal
domain name in all your advertising.
